'Switched at Birth' Season 3 Episodes 6, 7 & 8 Recap - Murder, Ice Cream and Dancing, Oh My!
Apologies for the delayed recaps. I started taking an ASL course that has ironically gotten in the way of my SAB viewing. On the plus side, I can actually understand some of the signs! Of course, only when the novice signers (Mary Beth/Bay) sign - but still….progress.
A lot has happened in the last three episodes so let’s get right to it.
It’s Lifetime Movie Sunday! Your Lifetime Movie Pick of the Day
Daphne Zuniga stars in this Lifetime movie about two teen girls who go missing during a spring break trip with their parents. Zuniga plays Rene, the uptight mother of Kaitlin, who is a straight-laced do-gooder. The other missing girl and Kaitlin’s best friend, Matty, is a party animal and has a mother who lives by more of a “don’t ask don’t tell” policy. The movie traces the mothers’ journey as they search for their missing daughters. I’ve loved Daphne Zuniga since Spaceballs so it is always a pleasure to see her in a Lifetime movie. The movie introduces plenty of red herrings as we learn bit by bit what happened to the girls during their night out and it is quite exciting to watch as the pieces start to fall together. For some, the ending can be seen as anticlimactic but I rather liked that the ending had a more normal/everyday feel. So many Lifetime movies go for the overly dramatic and fantastical, so it’s nice to have a movie with more realistic roots. Check it out on a lazy Sunday, it’s the perfect movie to watch while you clean.
Here we are, a bunch of psychopaths helping each other out.
In honor of Hannibal season 2 coming out tomorrow, I finally watched the unaired episode of season 1. And it turned out to be one of my favorite episodes from the show so far.
Besides some fun moments (as Hannibal does “fun”), it brought a lot of character development to both Hannibal and Will. And if left me thinking, “What else is left out of a show when there are unaired episodes?”
